‘Tis the season of giving, and Stampede Meat is participating with events to continue their efforts in giving back to the community.
Coordinated by Stampede Meat’s community outreach committee, Stampede Cares, a canned food drive was arranged for all employees to contribute and donate nonperishable items. Stampede has partnered with The Salvation Army this holiday season with donations servicing locations throughout Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
The Salvation Army is a charitable organization that serves in 130 countries while assisting approximately 25 million Americans annually. Members from across the world volunteer their time, and Stampede Meat is proud to be in partnership this holiday season, hoping to make a small difference for those in need. Stampede Meat began their partnership with the Salvation Army in July of this year.
In a couple of weeks, the canned donations collected will be packed off in boxes for Chicagoland area families. In addition to the canned donations, Stampede is also donating 2,000 whole chickens for the pack off event. Stampede Meat employees who have chosen to volunteer their time will be participating in the pack off event scheduled for the first week of December. “Support from generous partners like Stampede make a difference in the lives of those we serve,” said Lt. Colonel Charles H. Smith, Salvation Army Metropolitan Divisional Commander. “We’re grateful for so many employees’ participation in the food drive and the donation of 2,000 chickens that will help provide Christmas boxes for 10,000 families across the Chicagoland area. They’re making Christmas bright for families in need.”
This is a very exciting time for Stampede Meat. The new expansion and continual growth towards becoming a billion-dollar company could not be possible without their commitment to teamwork. This time of year, it’s important to pause a moment and always consider how to make a change for those around us, Stampede has managed to do just that. Stampede Cares committee member, Ana Adan, summed it up perfectly by stating, “It was heartwarming to see the dedication of our employees towards The Salvation Army Christmas boxes. Their attentiveness and willingness to help truly displays the meaning of Stampede’s core values. We hope to continue this tradition moving forward to embrace the holiday spirit.”
